NEXFINITY Press Design Process

Redesign the NexPress for the next product generation by improving aesthetics and operator experience, while capturing the essence of Kodak and an offset printing press appearance

Concept Exploration - Our team worked through conceptual design sketches and renderings focused on refining the visual proportion and a modern Kodak appearance

Prototyping & Refinement - The Kodak Engineering team created full scale prototypes to refine functionality and production. Our team worked with them to improve the user experience making it easier for operators to work with the press in a more efficient manner.

NEXFINITY Final Design

  • Offset Press Appearance: The overall profile of the NEXFINITY resembles the central height bump of an offset press

  • Intuitive Functionality: Improved door operation reduces operator effort and simplifies Press operation

  • Colorful Interaction: Enhanced interaction points made visible through use of color and materials

  • Evolved Brand Language: The final NEXFINITY design influenced other Kodak Print products, re-invigorating this division to achieve new levels of success and design sensitivity.

NEXFINITY Product Launch Videos

For the product launch, we partnered with Big Slide Creative to create a compelling video that showcased the NEXFINITY Press in action. The video featured detailed 3D renderings and animations, allowing viewers to gain a deeper understanding of the machine’s inner workings and unique processes. We expanded upon these functional animations to assist Kodak in showcasing their Dynamic Imaging Technology present in the NEXFINITY press in additional videos.
